Puffys Hype Machine is at it Again, or is it P Diddy!

Several bloggers have expressed there dismay over the deft of quality Black films, yet they anticipate the arrival this Friday of Notorious, the BIG story...when does the story of a rags to riches, pseudo black Greek tragedgy become so ICONIC, I'm sorry I got to agree with Chris Rock on this one. Biggie and Tupac are two niggas that got shot over ridiculous beef, Neither one is Malcom or Martin, and the two have done lest than there predecessors to advance our self interest and global self esteem.

Don Cheadle and Quincy Troup have been trying to get a Miles Davis Movie made for the last three years, still in development hell, Danny Glover is making a film of Toussaint Louverture. Steven Soderberg had a struggle getting Ernesto 'Che' Guevara story to the screens.

Fred Kaplan has a good piece in the NYT, when Black Musicians made a difference. http://www.nytimes.com/2008/06/29/arts/music/29kapl.html?scp=1&sq=Jazz%20musicians%20state%20department%20tours&st=cse

a Miles Davis movie...now your're talking....( anything with Don Cheadle...he is beyond talented....)

sadly anytime someone makes a Music Movie glorifying the person (Usually , always dead) they try to immortalize them- make them a hero....???I would rather have a story that is real...tells their real story...

( to be honest I did not understand what happened with Big....and Tupac was very talented...didn't his mother make a movie about him ? )

thanks for stopping by watergatesummer...
